The main function of Philosophy subject in Std 12th is to provide extensive exposure to diverse genres of writings in Philosophy by authors and poets in different countries and to respect pluralism of cultures and views, and be a critical, reflective and independent thinker.

The following NBSE Class 12th Philosophy Previous Year Question Paper is based on the new revised syllabus of NBSE 2019. All the HSSLC student of Nagaland may check the textbooks list for better preparation.

Question Difficulty Level

  • 1. Easy Question: 30 percent, Total  30 Marks
  • 2. Average Question: 50 percent, Total 50 Marks
  • 3. Difficult Question: 20 percent, Total 20 Marks

  • Questions of 6 & 8 marks will be general in option.

  • Unit X Advaita Vedanta,Vaisesika and Samkhya–Yoga, Marks: 15
  • Unit XI Nyaya, Marks: 8
  • Unit XII Concept of religion, Marks: 15

General Instruction

  • i) Approximately 15 minutes is allotted to read the question paper and revise the answers.
  • ii) The question paper consists of 26 questions. All questions are compulsory.
  • iii) Marks are indicated against each question.
  • iv) Candidates are to draw staff lines in the answer book as required. No separate staff manuscripts will be provided.
  • v) The internal choice is given in one question of 6 marks and one question of 8 marks
