NBSE Class 12th Alternative English Question Paper

The main function of Alternative English subject in Std 12th is to provide extensive exposure to diverse genres of writings in English by authors and poets in different countries and to respect pluralism of cultures and views, and be a critical, reflective and independent thinker.

The following NBSE Class 12th Alternative English Previous Year Question Paper is based on the new revised syllabus of NBSE 2023. All the HSSLC student of Nagaland may check the textbooks list for better preparation.

Question Difficulty Level

1. Easy Question: 30 percent, Total 27 Marks
2. Average Question: 50 percent, Total 45 Makrs
3. Difficult Question: 20 percent, Total 18 Marks

Scheme of Options:
There will be no general option. However, an internal option shall be provided for:

i. 1 (one) 4 marks question
ii. 4 (four) 5 marks questions
iii. 1 (one) 10 marks question

Unit I: Prose 20 marks
Unit II: Poetry 15 marks
Unit III: Drama 10 marks
Unit IV: Fiction 15 marks
Unit V: Grammar 10 marks
Unit VI: Reading 10marks
Unit VII: Writing 10 marks

General Instruction
